Tiling in Paisley, Glasgow and Cambuslang
Bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchen splashbacks and large-format floors — set level, spaced right, grouted clean.
Tiling done properly
Tiling is unforgiving. Lines that drift a couple of millimetres over a wall are invisible on day one and impossible to un-see on day thirty. Pieter sets out every job before the first tile goes up — where the cuts land, which wall the eye hits first, how the grout lines carry from the wall onto the floor.
That covers everything from a two-metre kitchen splashback to a fully tiled wet room. Large-format porcelain, natural stone, metro brick bond, herringbone, mosaic borders — all standard work across Glasgow and Cambuslang.

How the job runs
No surprises. Here is what happens from the first phone call to the final clean-up.
- 01
Set out first
The wall is measured and the tile layout planned so cuts land where they are least noticeable.
- 02
Prepare the surface
Walls made flat, floors levelled, wet areas tanked. Tiles are only as good as what is behind them.
- 03
Fix the tiles
Correct adhesive for the tile and substrate, levelling clips on large formats, consistent spacers throughout.
- 04
Grout and seal
Grout colour matched to the tile, joints cleaned as it goes off, silicone run into every internal corner.
- 05
Final check
Every edge checked, trims fitted, and the whole surface wiped down before Pieter leaves.

Tiling: recent jobs

Tiling — your questions answered
Can you tile over existing tiles?
Sometimes — if the old tiles are firmly bonded, flat and clean it can work. More often the honest answer is that stripping back gives a better and longer-lasting result, and Pieter will say which applies to your wall.
Do you supply the tiles?
Most customers choose and buy their own tiles, which keeps the cost transparent. Pieter is happy to advise on quantities, sizes and what will actually work in the space before you order.
How long does a bathroom tiling job take?
A standard bathroom wall and floor tile is usually three to four days including preparation, tiling, grouting and silicone.
Do you tile wet rooms?
Yes. Wet rooms are tanked and waterproofed before any tile goes on, because the membrane is what keeps the room dry, not the grout.
Can you fit large-format or herringbone tiles?
Yes. Large-format porcelain, herringbone and brick bond are all regular work — they need more setting out and levelling, which is factored into the quote.
